George Belshaw and Jonathan Judge are a unique team that creates, writes, directs and produces for film, TV, and the internet. Their work includes scripted and non-scripted projects, both filmed and for live broadcast.
Since joining forces in 2000 to form Judge-Belshaw Entertainment, Inc., their original works have included the HBO Actual Jokes Series (winner of the Grand Prize for Outstanding Television Promo or I.D. in the 2000 New York Festival of Festivals), Shanahan's Army for Twentieth Century Fox studios and CBS, and the Life O'Reilly and We Are Legend for Viacom's Noggin/The N. Other projects include The Urban Myths and the Tock. Tock. series for Hypnotic.
In addition to its original productions, Judge-Belshaw has worked as a production company for hire on numerous projects including the feature film Hoboken Tales and the short film The Office Party (starring Jon Stewart, Ralph Macchio and Carol Kane) for HBO and Cinemax.
George Belshaw produced the independent feature films Ratchet, Without a Trace: June 10, 1979, and Jane Street, as well as the premier segment for Broadway Video Musical Shorts Series. His projects have played on Comedy Central, Showtime, the Sundance Channel, and theatrically in the United States and abroad. Belshaw is currently overseeing the development and production of feature films for the company as well as Judge-Belshaw's recent internet initiative, www.jokeshow.tv.
Judge has held every position in production, from line producer to assistant director to executive producer to director. Along with directing all of Judge-Belshaw's productions, he was the original producer of Nickelodeon's highly successful daily live sketch show, U-Pick Live and ran the show for two years. He directs for the number one childrens show on Nickelodeon, the CGI/ live-action series LazyTown for which he won a BAFTA award in 2006. Judge has also directed for Nickelodeon's Emmy-nominated show Blues Clues, and has directed numerous shorts, commercials, documentaries, and music videos.
